TMJ Dysfunction

TMJ is short for the Temporomandibular joint in your jaw. It is responsible for the lower jaw movement during chewing and speaking. Jaw pain is a general term, and can be caused by disc problems within the joint, muscle dysfunction (grinding/clenching), or even teeth issues like placement of a filling with an inappropriate bite.
